Welcome! This site features my work and the experiences that I have had over the past years, while working as a guide, tour leader, writer and travel photographer. The many travels that I have undertaken -for work as well as for pleasure - have brought me all over the globe. From Amsterdam to the highest Himalayan peaks to lost Incan cities in Peru, from millennia-old Syrian souks to lush, overgrown Cambodian temples, and from New York’s art-deco skyscrapers to traditional Geisha dwellings in the streets of Kyoto. These wanderings have bestowed a wealth of experiences and knowledge upon me. I have been given insight in many of the worlds’ life philosophies, and I have gotten to know fascinating cultures from within. Not in the least thanks to the many colourful people that have crossed my path. These experiences and encounters form an inexhaustible source of inspiration for me. Esther van Veen.
